Sennheiser Launches RS 275 TV Headphones with Auracast

Sennheiser has launched the Sennheiser RS 275 TV Headphones—a wireless solution built for clear, lag-free TV audio. The set comes with a BTA1 digital receiver and uses Auracast technology to deliver sound up to 50 meters away with minimal delay.

What is Auracast? It’s a new kind of Bluetooth that broadcasts audio to multiple devices at once. Unlike classic Bluetooth—which connects one-to-one—Auracast lets many listeners tune in simultaneously from the same source.

The BTA1 plugs into your TV and turns your living room into a personal broadcast zone. This means hearing aids, other headphones, or even speakers can all receive the same audio stream. As a result, families or caregivers can share sound without extra gear.

Battery life is impressive: up to 50 hours on a single charge. Even better, you can recharge the headphones using the BTA1’s USB-C port—no separate cable needed. Sennheiser also designed the headset for long-term use. Both the ear cushions and the battery are user-replaceable.

For added control, download the Sennheiser Smart Control Plus app. It lets you adjust left-right balance, create custom hearing profiles, and switch audio modes like “Movie” or “News.” You can also turn on transparency mode to hear room sounds. Plus, if you misplace your headphones, the app helps you find them.

Pricing is simple. The full Sennheiser RS 275 TV Headphones bundle costs $300. If you already have compatible headphones, the standalone BTA1 receiver is $130. Pre-orders start February 3, 2026, with shipping beginning February 17.

Overall, this system blends accessibility, convenience, and modern tech. Whether you need hearing support, want private listening, or share a screen with others, the RS 275 delivers—clearly, comfortably, and without compromise.
